Custom jewelry by metal artist Julie Jacobs
Handmade designer jewelry created in 14 karat gold-filled and sterling silver wire for those who desire distinctive wearable art.
Julie's original design jewelry is inspired by the color, patterns and shape of natural semi-precious stones. By incorporating wire and unique free form, hand polished cabochons by lapidary artist Kent Dyer and others into her designs, she creates one-of-a-kind bold, dramatic jewelry for wearable art.
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
Pablo Picassso
A personal message from Julie:
Initially, my desire to make jewelry came from a need to create a beautiful piece of wearable art to cover the scar left by heart bypass surgery. My necklaces with pendants cover the scar beautifully, and the pendants may be removed to wear with a chain or to wear only the necklace. I always make earrings to match the necklaces for a complete set.
Since then, I have gone on to design wire rings and to fashion cuttlefish bone castings into other forms of wearable art.
Ten percent of the profit from my business is donated to the American
Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign to educate women
about heart disease as the number one killer of women.
